A long-time member of Battlefield Baptist Church, Travis Owens first started attending in August of 1993. He received Jesus Christ as his Savior in June of 1999 while at a summer camp. In 2014, he felt God's call on his life to do more, and began the process of preparing himself for a lifetime of service. He’s worn many hats here, from being a Teen Department counselor to stepping into the Youth Director role in 2015.
In May of 2019, Travis completed his Associate of Arts degree in Bible graduating cum laude from Piedmont International University, in Winston-Salem, NC. He continues his education through Louisiana Baptist University. God had even bigger plans for him! In 2022, Travis was ordained and became our Associate Pastor.
On August 18th, 2024, our church overwhelmingly voted Travis as our new Senior Pastor. His heart beats for sharing the life-changing message of Jesus and helping our church grow and reach others with that same love.
Travis isn’t in this alone—he’s blessed to have his amazing wife, Megan, by his side. They met serving in the Teen Department, got married in 2014, and now, alongside their son Jeremiah, continue to serve God together as a family
