Christ thought so much of women that they held positions of prominence in His earthly ministry. The women of BBC strive to serve each other, our church family, our community, our world, and our Lord through our varied and exciting events.
LADIES NIGHT OUT - Held every few months, Ladies Night Out offers the women a chance to get together and "let their hair down" for a while. With such themes as "Don't CLOWN Around - Serve Jesus," "SomeBUNNY Loves You," "Going for the Goal," and "The Masquerade Is Over," the ladies and teen girls enjoy games, good food, tips for daily living, learn a new craft, hobby or business, share a devotional message, deepen old friendships and make new ones. A nursery is always provided!
LADIES BANQUETS - We've been "Daughters of the King," shared "White Lace and Promises," and were "Born to Shop," among others! A fun-filled evening celebrated by over 300 ladies, our Ladies Banquets are held every other year. They feature a guest speaker (usually nationally known), special gifts, skits, music, a dramatic play, and a fabulous feast. The banquets are held on-site, and are fully and festively decorated!
LADIES RETREATS - Everyone needs to get away for a time of refreshing and renewal. Our ladies always look forward to the Retreats! Previous destinations include "Women of Faith," events with Nancy Lee Demoss, Elizabeth George, Jennifer Rothschild, a retreat center in Pennsylvannia, and more.
LADIES BRUNCH AT MISSIONS REVIVAL - The Friday morning of our Missions Revival is the highlight of Revival for our ladies. Over 100 women and teen girls gather to honor the Missionary wives and learn of their struggles and triumphs on their called fields. We shower them with gifts and trinkets, along with things they can use on the field, while enjoying a homemade breakfast feast. With such themes as "Red Hot for Missions" and "We're Tickled Pink You're Here," the brunch is a sweet, tender and fun annual event.
LADIES BIBLE STUDY - On Tuesday mornings at 9:30, ladies of all ages are welcome for a time of friendship, faith and fellowship. The ladies - in all stages of life - enjoy Bible study and a light breakfast. Our new study is Nehemiah - A Heart That Can Break by Kelly Minter. Nursery is available each week for $3/child. Please contact Natalie Thompson at 703-615-0298 or email@example.com to order a book.
LADIES SERVING OTHERS - The women of BBC serve in many areas. Some of the more "obvious" areas are as teachers, AWANA leaders, and in the Baby and Toddler nurseries. But they're not limited to those roles. During construction of our educational building, they got dirty right along with the men, cleaning and scraping after the construction crews. Some also helped with a remodel of nearby transitional housing.
